Covid-19 did crazy things to lumber prices, so I built a climate controlled box out of scrap wood and cardboard.

The seedlings loved the fancy bulbs and cozy climate.

We had a few helpers jump in to take care of the fungus gnat problem. No more big box soil.

The Anise Hyssop was timed to be in full bloom when it went into the ground.

The Monarda Fistulosa (Bee Balm) did extremely well in air pots.

It takes two years for Monarda Fistulosa to flower, but I had a plan to do it in one.

I eventually ran out of space to paint in the studio. It was a long wait and a late Spring. There were pepper plants hanging underneath every workshop and painting light. It's funny... now that I am looking back at it. *Note to self: Don't plant too many seeds because you know you are incapable of letting any of them die once they get going.

I tried sowing a few Monarda Fistulosa seeds last fall. It was awesome to see most of them emerge from the snow. The seedlings look a little purple, but they have good roots. We can work with that.
